NRL 6.4 Project: Modeling, Sensing and Forecasting Ocean Optical Products for Navy Systems

Objective: To develop an operational ocean forecast system to support Navy MCM operations by merging satellites, models and insitu glider observations (Tactical Ocean Data System - TODS). This system will be designed with the capability to exploit high resolution for the characterization of the littoral environment and integrate a system generated 3D optical environment and predict an electro-optical / laser system performance surface for environmental queuing and reconnaissance.
